Rick DeCosta

As a recent graduate from Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts, I currently work as a Graphic Designer/Production Specialist at SmartBear Software.

I recently held an internship with Q2 Sports & Entertainment, a sports and celebrity talent agency out of New York City. While participating in the internship I created designs for top movie/reality television stars such as Pauly Shore and the cast of MTV's The Real World. I also created designs for model Sara Jean Underwood, Playboy's 2007 Playmate of the Year. I also created email flyers promoting the agencies clients which were sent out to over 1,500 nightclubs across the Country.

I have also won numerous photo contest's with my photography. My photo work has been featured in Photography Forum's book: Best of College Photography 2010 edition. My image of the Zakim Bridge is the main banner of the Harvard Business School Association of Boston's website.

My images have also been displayed on WGBH's digital billboard located in Boston, Massachusetts. Displayed to thousands of commuters to the Massachusetts Turnpike. As well as a recently commissioned 40x40 canvas image which hangs in Boston Software's office in Needham, Massachusetts.

For my most recent work I created a Seminar Project on Hampton Beach, NH combining both my design work and photography:

Hampton Beach 1-75 is a booklet series, sending viewers upon a visual journey to the New Hampshire Seacoast location of Hampton Beach. Combining forms of my design work and photography, the images in my three book series are narrated by the lines of a 19th century poem by John Greenleaf Whittier.
